Well, folks, i think were finally ready for this massive production that is moving. my sister is coming up with her bf to help us move saturday (sorry ahead of time terry.....we will keep the fireball cold for you, lord knows, you may need it) and my mom is coming as well for child control. I need to be at the new apartment Saturday, as we have the phone company, and cable/internet company coming to hook us up. Keepin my fingers crossed that Erik's friends show up to help.
Oh, did I forget to mention that we don't have a truck yet? Yea....were working on that. Hopefully we will know for sure tonight whether or not we need to rent one.
So far, almost all of the house is packed, except for the bathroom( not much to do there) and the kids room. The kids room is simple enough though, as all the toys have their specific places to be ( toy boxes, various hampers, etc).
I'm looking forward to moving, but then again, i'm not. We still have to put a second coat of paint on 2 of the bedrooms, and I need to give the place a good clean through. God willing, I will get it all done.
So, i don't know if I have told you all, but my mother in law is getting married this coming August. As in like 7 months from now. And she has designated me as the wedding planner. How much do you think is prepared?? NADA. Yep. That's right. Nothing. She shares her plans with everyone except me, the wedding planner.
The cake she has booked. I didn't have a clue. I have no guest list. I have no dress designs. I have no color scheme. I have no decor ideas. I know she has the catering taken care of, but no clue what ppl are eating. No invitations picked out, no flowers picked out. NOTHING.
Did I mention that this is an Acadian wedding?? For those of you who don't know much about Acadians, we are French people who are born or raised typically on the eastern coast of Canada. They are a very special group of people, who, when something needs to be celebrated, like a wedding, it really gets CELEBRATED. Acadian weddings are typically very large in size. But, at this point, I have absolutely no clue as to how many people to expect, or how many to invite.
Well, I best get back to cleaning. Later days!
