The countdown until Erik comes home is here, I mean.
10 days.
Wow.
I can't wait!!!
The weekend wasn't bad. Friday night my mother and father in laws went out to dinner, and went to do some christmas shopping. Leata came over and we made dinner, and she headed to the movies.
Bathed the kids early, and sent them to bed a bit later than usual. I then had the house to myself, so i curled up on the love seat with the laptop, and chatted a bit with some friends and addressed some christmas cards that need to be mailed. I watched Ghost Whisperer, and headed to bed around 10:30.
My mom came up for the night Saturday morning, so we went and pickd her up at 11 am, and came home to do some things here. Around 3 we headed out shopping with my mother in law, and then we took the kids to the Santa Claus parade downtown. That ended around 6, and we came home, made pizza, and got warmed up from the chilly weather from the parade. I went to bed early from a bad headache.
Oh, did I mention, that I lost my voice on Friday? Yep. I'm not sick at all, just a stupid cough, and no voice.
Sunday I went driving with my mother in law, to get me some more practice bfore my upcoming road test to get my drivers liscense. We went to the place where the drivers examiner takes you to do your parking test. You get 3 shots at parallel parking in the exam. So, I only got 3 tries when I was out. Keep in mind I have NEVER parallel parked before. First try, I put the back end of the car a bit too far into the spot, but the second and third tries i did it perfect:)
We drove around downtown for a bit, and headed home, to make a big dinner. We made roast beef, whipped potatoes, carrots, and turnip. It was sooo yummy:)After we took my mom to the bus, we sat around and watched some shows last night, and I broke out the Lemon meringue pie and my home made spinach and artichoke dip.
Was another early night to bed last night, and it was great!
